ORIGINAL ARTICLE: SASKATOON — The family of the missing is asking for the local public’s assistance in locating missing 30 year old Samantha “Sammi” Okemaysim out of the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan area.
Samantha was last heard from by family on approximately March 10, 2017. It is unknown where she was staying, but her only known hang out was at The Lighthouse in Saskatoon. She also frequented both St. Paul’s Hospital and Royal University Hospital to access Wi-fi. In addition to Saskatoon, she may have traveled to Calgary, Alberta as she spoke about visiting there previously.
Samantha was last seen wearing a purple hoodie and a colorful scarf.
It is noted that she may also go by the name Samantha Ananas, or variations of the names mentioned previously.
All attempts that have been made by family to locate Samantha have been unsuccessful. It is uncharacteristic for Samantha to not be in contact with family for this long. None of her social media accounts have been active since she went missing which concerns family as she used social media avidly before her disappearance.
Police and family are concerned as she may be in a vulnerable state.
Samantha is described as:
• GENDER: Female.
• ETHNICITY: Native American.
• HAIR: Long, black.
• EYES: Dark brown.
• HEIGHT: 5 feet 5 inches.
• WEIGHT: 130 pounds.
• OTHER: Tattoo on her right chest plate and down her left arm, both in script writing. She has shamrock tattoos on her back shoulder and a scar on her forehead near her hair line. Both of her ears are also pierced. She may walk with a limp due to right knee problems.
