Please help spread the word about missing Mekayla Bali out of Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
YORKTON — The Saskatchewan RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing 16 year old Mekayla Bali out of the Yorkton, Saskatchewan area.
Mekayla was last seen on April 12, 2016 at 1:45 pm. Her family last saw her that morning when her mother dropped her off at school. Her last known location was at a STC Bus Depot in Yorkton, Saskatchewan where she ate lunch but did not board a bus. Saskatchewan RCMP has put out a child search alert for Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and the search has also been extended to British Columbia.
A reward of $50,000 is being offered for the safe return of Mekayla, as well as $10,000 for information on her whereabouts.
By examining evidence obtained through witness statements, video surveillance and other investigative techniques, investigators have determined the following whereabouts for Mekayla on April 12, 2016:
Approximately 8:20 am – arrived at Sacred Heart High School
Between 8:25 and 8:30 am – leaves Sacred Heart High School
Between 8:30 and 8:40 am – walks eastbound on Smith Street West from the intersection of Smith Street West and Gladstone Avenue North
Between 8:30 and 9:00 am – enters Terry’s Pawn and Bargain on 3rd Avenue North.
Between 8:50 and 8:55 am – enters and then exits the TD Bank at 63 Broadway Street East
Between 8:55 and 9:00 am – walks eastbound on Broadway Street East
Between 9:00 and 9:15 am – enters Tim Hortons at 160 Broadway Street East
Between 9:15 and 9:30 am – exits Tim Hortons and walks northbound on 8th Avenue North.
Between 9:30 and 9:40 am – walks westbound on 100-200 block Broadway Street East then momentarily walks northbound on 6th Avenue North
Between 9:40 and 9:50 am – walks eastbound in the parking lot of the 100-200 block of Broadway Street East between Giant Tiger and Superstore
Between 9:50 and 9:55 am – re-enters Tim Hortons at 160 Broadway Street East
Between 10:40 and 10:45 am.– leaves Tim Hortons and walks westbound on Broadway Street East past the Kia Dealership, crosses the 7th Avenue intersection toward the Ramada Hotel, turns around and walks southbound on 7th Avenue for a short distance, turns around and walks past the Ramada Hotel, continuing west on Broadway Street East and past Robins Donuts
Between 10:45 and 11:55 am – whereabouts unknown
Between 11:55 am and 12 pm – enters Sacred Heart High School
Between 12:00 and 12:05 pm – leaves Sacred Heart High School
Between 12:15 and 1:00 pm – purchases a meal at the Trail Stop Restaurant in the STC Bus Depot Building on 1 Avenue North
Between 1:00 and 1:45 pm – leaves the STC Bus Depot
Police are also asking for assistance in tracking down an adult male who could potentially have information relating to Mekayla’s disappearance who was last seen on April 12, 2016 at the bus depot on 1st Avenue North in Yorkton between 1:00 and 1:45 pm. The unknown male has a tattoo below his left elbow of a cross with flames around it (image below), and was last seen wearing a dark navy vest jacket with an elastic waistband in the back. He is described as 5’10”-6’2″ in height, 40 to 50 years old, with a stocky medium build and muscular arms. He has dark hair and has a tattoo on his tricep/bicep area of his right arm that appeared to be a circle with several designs with multiple colors. He also appeared to have a red scar or scratch below his left eye on his cheek approximately 3/4 to an inch in length.
At the time of her disappearance she was last seen wearing teal glasses, Joseph Seibel burgundy suede embroidery boots, jeans, burgundy coat, teal infinity scarf, a ruby gemstone ring, and she was carrying a blue plaid backpack.
Mekayla is described as:
• Gender: Female.
• Ethnicity: Caucasian.
• Eyes: Blue.
• Hair: Blonde.
• Height: 5 feet 2 inches.
• Weight: 114 pounds.
